Gov. Attempting to Pass a Tax Cut Extension Bill
House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi has recently said she would try a “discharge petition” to bring to the floor of the House of Representatives a Senate-passed bill that would extend tax cuts for the middle class, those who earn less than 250 thousand.
Requiring 218 signatures to bring it to the floor, the discharge petition will need some republican support as there are only 192 democrat held seats right now. Surely, there are at least 26 republicans who would favor an extension of the middle class tax cuts.
There is one republican who is not feeling the bipartisan spirit, John Boehner. House Speaker Boehner recently called the Presidents latest proposal a “non-serious proposal” that has wasted three weeks with nonsense.
When will the pendulum start swinging away from big government? Some body wake me up when that happens.
