H&R Block Manager Sentenced & Spiel on Integrity

Jail time is coming for a Californian man who is a former manager of an H&R Block. Damon Charles Dubose was convicted and sentenced for filing 12 false tax returns and pocketing the money after withdrawing it from “his clients” H&R Emerald Card.

The victims of Mr. Dubose’s tax scheme were previous clients at that H&R Block.  Dubose used the H&R database to extract the information for his personal use.

For some people, doing bad things is okay if they get a lot of money. For others, the fear of consequences of those actions is enough to prevent questionable behavior. For the rest of us, there is a little thing called INTEGRITY. Basically, integrity is doing the right thing even when no one is looking regardless of accolades. It’s doing the right thing because it’s the right thing to do.

What happened to responsible behavior in commercial businesses? Can we only trust the little guy now?
