If you have a client who is attempting to get ITINs for dependents, he or she must be a parent or use a Power of Attorney form for immediate family (grandparents, brothers, sisters, etc). If your client is an aunt or uncle, the Power of Attorney will not work. In this instance, you will notarize the copy of the parent’s foreign ID, have the parent sign the document, and that parent will also sign the W-7 for the dependent. All supporting documentation must match other documentation and will be sent with the application.

Also, Platinum Partners are encouraged to take advantage of the Certifying Acceptance Agent program that comes with your package. It is at no charge, but it does take about 4 months, so if you are interested in this please contact Tina @ (866) 357-2052, ext 264.  Additionally, if you are not a Platinum Partner but would like this with your current package, please call to discuss other options.
